Shantrell L. Lewis, Esq.
Shantrell L. Lewis graduated from The University of South Florida in 1997, with a B.A. in English, with an emphasis on Professional and Technical Writing. She obtained her law degree from St. Thomas University; she was admitted to the Florida Bar in 2002 and the Washington, DC bar in 2005. Ms. Lewis’ professional background has been concentrated primarily in the area of Family Law; however, she has experience with nonprofit organizations as well. After being admitted to the Florida bar, Ms. Lewis worked as an Assistant State Attorney for Miami-Dade, in the Child Support Enforcement Division, which focuses on establishing paternity, child support enforcement and modification, and related issues. In 2005, Ms. Lewis moved to the Washington, DC metro area and joined the staff of UNCF Special Programs Corporation, a nonprofit organization. She worked within The Division of Science and Technology, which manages several internship and fellowship programs that are designed for the advancement of minorities in these fields. Since moving back to Miami in 2007, Ms. Lewis has worked as a Contract Attorney, focusing on Civil Litigation matters, in Miami-Dade and Broward County.
